My calling has always been to teach, and at the same time to learn.

It is my firm conviction that every individual deserves the opportunity to develop a relationship with the natural world. I aim to assess barriers and curate experiences that support environmental and outdoor learning for all. Persistent in this work my hope is to empower others to discover a sense of place that is inspired by the seasons and at the same time enveloped in relevant opportunities for stewardship and civic engagement.

Grow Wise Learning was founded to incorporate my degrees in the Fine Arts and in the Sciences, my Master’s Degree in Education, my experience as a naturalist, my desire to effect change through facilitation and consulting, and a recurring motivation to bond students of all ages to the places where they live and learn. 

A perpetual student myself, I “grew” my  business to include a small-scale nursery as I learned more about the benefits of landscaping with native perennials. The Grow Wise Learning Greenhouse supports habitat creation, conservation, and restoration by growing perennials for schoolyard, community, and home gardens. 

I believe that when we pay attention to place - we become devoted to, remain inspired by, and eventually grow wise learning from this incredible Earth that we share.
